StockX Fees
StockX fees in the US in 2026 are three charges: a seller-level transaction fee (Level 1: 9%, falling to 7% at Level 5), a 3% payment-processing fee, and a $5 US seller shipping fee for standard sales. The transaction fee has a $5 minimum, which makes StockX the most expensive of the major marketplaces on small sales.

StockX fee schedule (2026)
| Fee | Amount | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Transaction fee — Level 1 | 9% of sale price | New sellers |
| Transaction fee — Level 2 | 8.5% of sale price | Sellers who qualify |
| Transaction fee — Level 3 | 8% of sale price | Sellers who qualify |
| Transaction fee — Level 4 | 7.5% of sale price | Sellers who qualify |
| Transaction fee — Level 5 | 7% of sale price | Top sellers |
| Minimum transaction fee | $5 | Applies when the % fee is lower |
| Payment processing | 3% of sale price | Every sale |
| US seller shipping fee | $5 | Standard sales (buyer pays shipping separately in most cases) |
The $5 minimum matters on small sales: on a $20 sale, Level 1’s 9% is only $1.80, but the minimum lifts the transaction fee to $5.00 — plus 3% processing ($0.60) and $5 shipping, for $10.60 of fees on a $20 sale. StockX rewards volume: every level step down saves 0.5 points once your sale price is high enough for the percentage to beat the minimum.
What you keep on a $50 sale
| Seller level | Fees | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 (9%) | $11.50 | $38.50 |
| Level 2 (8.5%) | $11.50 | $38.50 |
| Level 3 (8%) | $11.50 | $38.50 |
| Level 4 (7.5%) | $11.50 | $38.50 |
| Level 5 (7%) | $11.50 | $38.50 |
All five levels cost the same $11.50 on a $50 sale — and that is the point of the $5 minimum. Breakdown at Level 1: the 9% rate gives $4.50, which is below the $5 minimum, so the transaction fee becomes $5.00; add 3% processing ($1.50) and the $5 shipping fee for $11.50 total. Levels only start to differ once the percentage beats the minimum: on a $100 sale, Level 1 costs $17.00, Level 3 $16.00 and Level 5 $15.00.

How to pay less in StockX fees
- Climb the levels. Each level step saves 0.5 points — worth $0.50 per $100 of sale price. On higher-value sneakers the saving is real money; on $50 sales the $5 minimum erases it, so level matters most on bigger tickets.
- Avoid small-ticket sales on StockX. The $5 minimum plus $5 shipping makes sub-$30 sales brutally expensive in percentage terms — a $20 sale loses over half its value to fees.
- Price for the authenticated buyer pool. StockX’s fee is the highest on a $50 sale ($11.50 vs eBay’s $7.20) — use it when authentication and buyer trust justify the premium, not by default. See the StockX vs eBay comparison and our sneaker marketplace guide (coming with the Phase 2 guides).
- Run the numbers first. The StockX fee calculator has the level selector built in, so you can see exactly where the minimum stops biting.
